USGS reports sixth earthquake near Elgin this week

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to officials, another earthquake has been reported near Elgin. The United States Geological Survey says the 2.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at 7:11 a.m. Thursday.

According to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division, this is the sixth earthquake to be reported in the area since December 27.
