Irmo HS students learning virtually through Tuesday after students walk out over security concerns Friday

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Irmo High School students are learning online today and tomorrow, after many students walked out on Friday over recent security concerns on campus.

Lexington-Richland School District Five will have a board meeting tonight at 7, and a virtual parent/community town hall Tuesday at 6 p.m. to discuss the new safety measures for the school.

District officials say there will be an increased law enforcement presence and more safety and security procedures on campus when students return this Wednesday.
