Richland County deputies looking for man accused of assaulting his co-worker

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says deputies are looking for a man accused of assaulting his co-worker.

On November 21, 2021, deputies say they responded to the KFC in the 2300 block of Decker Boulevard for reports of an assault. Investigators say the assault occurred after the man became irate inside the restaurant.

Authorities say 23-year-old Michael Joyner is accused of punching the 53-year-old woman in the face multiple times, causing injuries. Joyner is charged with assault and battery second degree.
