SC man killed following chase with police in Mississippi

Oxford, MS (WBMA)–A suspect is dead after a chase involving the Oxford police department early Monday morning. 26-year-old Alexander Kade Lanier of Greenwood, South Carolina died at the scene.

According to Police Chief Bill Partridge, the pursuit began with a vehicle stolen at gun point.

During the chase on I-20, police say Lanier fired at pursuing officers several times.
