KCSO investigating shooting incident in Cassatt that injured two

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating a shooting incident that took place in Cassatt Thursday night. Deputies say they were called to a home in the 1100 block of Morning View Lane at around 10 p.m. Once on the scene, deputies say they found two men with gunshot wounds who were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say three men went to the home to meet with someone who lived there. Officials say the three men began physically attacked the resident in his front yard when the resident’s brother came outside and began shooting at the three men.

Deputies say they located all the individuals involved and do not believe any further danger exists.

Authorities say they are working to fully investigate the incident and determine appropriate charges.
