WATCH: Sumter girls, Calhoun County boys win in SCHSL playoffs Tuesday
The Sumter Fightin’ Gamecocks punched a ticket to the 5A lower state finals, topping Lexington Tuesday, 53-47. Sumter now faces Summerville Saturday at the Florence Center with the winner heading to the 5A state championship.
On the boys side, Calhoun County came back in the second half to top Gamecock signee Zachary Davis and Denmark-Olar, 84-77. The Saints are now one win away from heading to the state finals, but have to beat Great Falls Saturday in the A Upper State Championship at Bob Jones University.
