K9 posthumously named officer of the year

Kershaw Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Sometimes the best officers have paws.
Tuesday night the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office recognized K9 Officer Nala as its Officer of the Year.
Her handler, Officer Randy Bass, accepted the honor on her behalf.
Officer Nala passed away from cancer in December of last year.
