Mortgage rates fall for second straight week
CNN– One thing the conflict in Ukraine is not hurting is mortgage rates, at least for now. Freddie Mac says the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 3.7% this week. This is the second consecutive week that rates have fallen, after months of increases.
The rates dropped as a result of receding U.S. Treasury yields, as investors moved to the safety of bonds due to Russia invading Ukraine.
