Keenan girls hold off Camden to capture third-straight state championship

AIKEN, S.C. — Behind a star performance for the ages from junior MiLaysia Fulwiley, the Keenan Raiders edged the Camden Bulldogs 60-58 to capture the program’s third-straight SCHSL 3A girl state championship.

Fulwiley (No. 7 2023 prospect in the nation) dropped 41 points, 17 rebounds, and assisted the game-winning basket to propel the Raiders to a win.

Camden sophomore Joyce Edwards (No. 1 prospect in 2024 class) was equally as impressive on the Bulldogs’ side. She finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds.

In the final seconds, Edwards tied the game at 58-58 with a mid-range jump shot. Then Fulwiley brought the ball down the court and found an open Aiyo Price for the go-ahead bucket with seven seconds left on the clock.

Camden got multiple shots off in those final seconds, but couldn’t connect on any of them, coming up two points short in the program’s first state championship appearance since 1982.
