Local Living: Irish Fest comes to Camden, Battle at Bull Street Fan Fest this weekend and more!

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Columbia Fireflies are inviting you to this year’s Battle at Bull Street Fan Fest. It’ll be on the Segra Park Plaza before the Gamecocks take on Clemson on Saturday, March 5. The pre-game festivities will kick-off at noon, and Fan Fest will remain open for the duration of the game. Local rock band favorites ‘Tokyo Joe’ will be the headlining act at this year’s Fan Fest. Admission is free, and you can count on fun games, good music and even better food.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– You can head to Camden this weekend for their sixth annual Irish Fest. The downtown pub crawl kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, you can walk or run in the Lucky Leprechaun 5k and end with the Irish Festival at 8 a.m. and hangout for the main event at 10 a.m. Admission for Saturday’s main event is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 2-12.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– We’re heading to the State Fairgrounds for an annual classic. We’re talking about the 38th annual Craftmen’s Spring Classic Art and Craft Festival! Hundreds of artists and crafts people from across the southeast have spring pottery and woodwork as well as decor and handmade jewelry to display and sell for everyone to enjoy. The three day event kicked off this morning but if you can’t make it out this evening, the Craftsmen’s Classic runs Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– To help fill the more than 1,000 statewide teacher vacancies, Orangeburg County School District will offer $3,000 sign-on bonuses for those new to the district hires for the upcoming school year. The school district is holding a career fair March 5 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the new Orangeburg County Library on Russell Street. Certified teachers, media specialists and counselors are encouraged to visit the Orangeburg County School District website for registration. Eligible educators hired before mid-September will receive the $3,000 sign-on bonus.
