Swansea police chief under investigation for allegation of excessive force

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Swansea’s police chief is under investigation following allegations of using excessive force. The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said they received a citizen’s complaint against Chief Earl Williams III. They sent the complaint to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division so they can investigate.

Chief Williams hasn’t responded to the allegations.
