LCSD: Columbia man and his son arrested for shooting incident Kenna Drive
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department says a father and son from Columbia are behind bars, charged with attempted murder for a shooting incident on a roadway on Thursday morning. Authorities say 54-year-old Anthony Gail Davis and 28-year-old Anthony Ryan Davis are each charged with two counts of attempted murder, four counts of. pointing and presenting a firearm at a person and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
“Detectives have reviewed surveillance video and interviewed witnesses before determining the Davises fired shots from a shotgun at two men in a truck traveling on Kenna Drive in Columbia,” Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. “The two men in that truck tried to get away after the first shot, but the Davises went after them and they fired several more shots at a different truck.”
Sheriff Koon says the first truck the two men fired at eventually lost them in traffic.
“The driver and passenger of both trucks were not injured,” Koon said. “Several houses in the neighborhood were struck by shotgun pellets; fortunately, no one in the houses was hurt either.”
Deputies say they tracked down the Davises shortly after the incident and brought them into custody. They are both being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
Anthony Ryan Davis is also charged in connection with a shooting incident in Camden, according to authorities.
