With the airline mask mandate lifted, United says it will allow some banned passengers back on board

CNN— Now that the mask mandate has ended for airlines, United Airlines says passengers who were banned for not following mask rules can now fly again, but it’s on a case-by-case basis.

Since the start of the pandemic, United has banned roughly 1,000 passengers for refusing to follow the mandate.

In a statement, the airline said it will let some banned passengers fly after “ensuring their commitment to follow all crew member instructions on board.”
