Cost of fireworks up ahead of the Fourth of July
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Fourth of July is now less than two weeks away. If you plan to shop for fireworks soon, plan to brace yourself for sticker shock.
Phantom Fireworks says firework prices are up 25-30% this year, but you should have no problem finding fireworks. Despite shipping delays and increased costs, there is more inventory this year than in the past two years.
While some shoppers started buying their fireworks in May, experts say the average buyer hasn’t shown up yet. Since they sold out across the nation last year, consumers are advised to shop early to find the most selection.
