Lexington High School student charged after bomb threat

Lexington, S.C. (WOLO)–  A Lexington High School student is facing charges after deputies say he sent a message to student about a bomb in a bookbag Thursday.

According to investigators it was later determined that the 17 year old, whose name is not being released, did not have any explosives.

Deputies say the student was charged with making a bomb threat and released into the custody of his parents.
