CHARLESTON, S.C. (WOLO)—Pawleys Island is picking up the pieces after being hit by Hurricane Ian with winds up to 85 miles per hour.
Multiple homes and businesses were damaged from the storm. Town officials say the island has been reopened to the public today.
Governor Henry McMaster toured the island and assessed the damage to the pier.
One homeowner in Georgetown who rode out the storm spoke about the damage it caused to his home.
