Lexington man arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— SC Attorney General Alan Wilson announced 33 year-old William Franz Mcbride, Jr., was arrested on child sexual abuse material charges.

The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators and Lexington deputies made the arrest on Dec. 14 after they received a report that led them to Mcbride.

Authorities say Mcbride is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree. He faces up to 10 years in prison on each count, say officials.

The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
