Columbia announces office closures on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The City of Columbia announced building and office closures in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 16.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)—The City of Columbia announced building and office closures in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 16.

In addition to office closings, the city will be making other schedule modifications on the holiday.

Solid waste collections that are normally picked up on Monday, Jan. 16 will instead be collected on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 18, say city officials.

For weekly collection reminders and holiday schedule changes, city residents are encouraged to download the free Columbia, SC Solid Waste app for iPhone or Android.
