The United States officially reached its debt ceiling this morning.

CNN— The United States officially reached its debt ceiling this morning.

The debt ceiling set by Congress has a borrowing limit of $31.4 trillion.

Now the Treasury Department will start enacting extraordinary measures to postpone a default.
