State House event to honor children battling cancer

An event at the State House will honor kids battling cancer on International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day today.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— An event at the State House will honor kids battling cancer on International Childhood Cancer Awareness Day today.

It starts at 2 p.m. at the first floor lobby on Gervais Street.

City of Columbia leaders and local organizations will come together to raise awareness about childhood cancer and showing support for children with cancer, survivors, and their families worldwide.

They’ll also share resources available for South Carolina families with kids battling cancer.
