Alex Murdaugh murder trial resumes Tuesday

The defense is expected to continue making its case in the double murder trial of Alex Murdaugh tomorrow, after the President’s Day holiday today.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— The defense is expected to continue making its case in the double murder trial of Alex Murdaugh tomorrow, after the President’s Day holiday today.

Before the prosecution rested its case on Friday, they called SLED Agent Peter Rudofski to testify abut newly obtained information regarding Murdaugh’s Chevy Suburban on the night of the murders.

The state also presented a timeline of their version of events on the night of June 7, 2021.

Their theory is the murders happened around 8:49 p.m. The defense presented two witnesses Friday before court adjourned.
