COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Richland County investigators are asking the public’s help in identifying an alleged robbery suspect.
The suspect robbed a local convenience store in the 1200 block of Percival Road at gunpoint on Feb. 19, say authorities.
Authorities say a suspect dressed in a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a mask entered the business and pointed a gun at two staff members.
The suspect took $1,000 after demanding the employees open the cash registers. They hit one of the victims in the head with the stick portion of a broom as he was walking the employees into a bathroom at gunpoint.
Both victims were evaluated by EMS following the incident and are expected to be ok, say deputies.
The suspect is believed to have left in a silver sedan.
