Richland County posts proposed zoning maps online

Richland County residents can now review proposed changes to the County's zoning map.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)—Richland County residents can now review proposed changes to the County’s zoning map.

Amendments to the map were recently recommended by the Richland County Planning Commission.

Text revisions to the Land Development Code were also recommended by the County Council.

After spending months working on the proposed zoning map changes, the commission requested its recommendations be shared with the public before being presented to Council, say officials.

The maps can be viewed and downloaded on the Planning Department webpage.

The page shows an overall zoning map for Richland County, and detailed maps for certain areas, including:

• Beltway
• North Central Richland
• Northeast Richland
• Northwest Richland
• Southeast Richland
