Fate of student debt relief plan up to Supreme court

(CNN) — The fate of President Biden’s plan to wipe out $400 billion dollars of student loan debt now rests with the Supreme Court.

Justices heard oral arguments in two cases challenging the plan on Tuesday.

The Biden administration argued it has the power to forgive student loans to protect Americans from financial harm brought on by the pandemic.
