Lexington Police Department warns public of telephone scam

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)— Tonight the Lexington Police Department is warning of a telephone scam.

Police say caller identifies themselves as law enforcement and says there is a warrant you or a family member.

Police say don’t fall for it and they urge you never to pay someone you don’t know through a money transfer app no matter how convincing they sound on the phone.
