COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s Military Matters, Fort Jackson has a new command sergeant major.
In a change of responsibility ceremony this morning, Command Sergeant Major Erick Ochs assumed responsibility from Command Sgt. Major Philson Tavernier.
In this role Sergeant Major Ochs will serve as the senior enlisted advisor to the Army Training Center and Fort Jackson Commander, Brigadier General Jason Kelly.
And in more military matters, the United States Army Field Band is performing at the Koger Center for the Arts on Monday.
Their Heroes concert will celebrate the people who have one above and beyond for their communities, it begins at 7:30.
The concert is free to the public but tickets are required and can be requested through the Koger Center Box Office.
