S.C. Highway Patrol investigating crash involving officer
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle crash involving an on-duty Sumter Police Department officer.
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)— The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating a vehicle crash involving an on-duty Sumter Police Department officer.
The crash occurred before 8 p.m. Wednesday on the U.S. 76/378 Bypass, say authorities.
The unidentified officer was flown to a Columbia hospital where he is in stable condition this morning.
