SC State asks SLED to investigate shooting

Orangeburg, S.C. (WOLO)– Officials at South Carolina State University say they have asked SLED to investigate after shots were fired at a campus residence hall Saturday night.

According to a spokesperson for the university the campus was placed on lockdown around 11:30pm after police received reports of shots fired near the Hugine Suites student apartment complex.

The lockdown was lifted just before 3 Sunday morning.
