RCSD: Teens arrested in robbery trend of Hispanic victims

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Richland deputies have arrested two teens after responding to three robberies on Ranch Road in late February.
Investigators say 19 year-old Jerril Sanders and a 17 year-old were arrested after allegedly targeting Hispanic victims during robberies.
According to officials, the victims were robbed at gunpoint by a group of masked black males.
During one of the incidents, the suspects assaulted and shot at one of the victims, say deputies. Cash and cell phones were stolen on each occasion.
Jerril is charged with three counts of armed robbery with a deadly weapon, three counts of kidnapping, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault and battery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The 17-year-old suspect is charged with the same.
