COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)â South Carolina has a new tool to increase the odds of finding missing children.
Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the launch of the South Carolina Child ID program after lawmakers passed the Child ID law last year.
It provides test kits to parents and schools to store your kid’s fingerprints and DNA.
Wilson says the kits will be distributed to Kâ12 students across the state this Spring.
They include ink-less fingerprinting DNA collection and a space for a current photograph.
Wilson says 11 children disappear in South Carolina every day.
