COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)—Anti-abortion advocates held a rally at the State House this morning calling on lawmakers to pass an abortion ban in South Carolina.

This comes as lawmakers are discussing multiple abortion ban proposals.

One bill, the Human Life Protection Act bans abortions but includes exceptions for rape, incest, fatal fetal anomaly, and the patient’s health and life.

Another proposal says a person could face the death penalty under the state’s homicide laws if they get an abortion.

The State Supreme Court rules against the fetal heartbeat law calling it unconstitutional because it violated a woman’s right to privacy.
