Lexington PD mourns loss of K-9 officer

Lexington, S.C. (WOLO)–Police in Lexington Tuesday announced the passing of K-9 Leena.

Officials say Leena worked with Sgt. Paul Walker from October ’08 until her retirement in October ’15.

Police say Leena was trained in narcotics detection, tracking, article searches and apprehension.

She was a Belgian Malinois who was born in April 2007 in the Netherlands.
