Abortion law debate continues at State House
The State Senate is set to continue discussions with the House over an abortion ban in South Carolina.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— The State Senate is set to continue discussions with the House over an abortion ban in South Carolina.
Lawmakers have less than three weeks left to pass any new restriction this session.
The State Supreme Court overturned the Fetal Heartbeat Law which banned abortion after six weeks.
This week, the Senate will take up a near-total ban with limited exceptions that already cleared the house.
Senators have already shot down the proposal several times over the past year.
