Orangeburg deputies seize narcotics, 13 firearms
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO)—Orangeburg Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says more than a dozen firearms and multiple bags of methamphetamine have been seized following a warrant service.
Furman Prickett, 45, had 13 firearms in his possession, with at least one of those considered stolen, according to authorities.
The convicted felon has been charged with 11 counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, nine counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, one count each of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a stolen pistol/firearm.
The arrest comes after the subject fled inside a home on Old Elloree Road after authorities attempted to serve a firearms warrant for Calhoun County on April 21.
According to the report, the owner of the home told Special Operations units the man who fled inside had multiple firearms inside the home.
10 shotguns and rifles, three hand guns, and ammunition for the weapons were found inside the residence.
