Lexington Coroner releases identity of teen in fatal moped accident

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)— Lexington Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of an individual who died in a moped accident in the 100 block of Windsor Park Drive.

The incident occurred on May 13 before 8:30 p.m. in the Lexington area.

17 year-old Roan Aiden Palmer was driving the moped when he lost control of it and hit a tree.

He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries, says Coroner Fisher.

The SC Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the incident.
