Gamecock baseball picks up big commitment

The Gamecocks received a commitment from one of the best high school prospects in the country Tuesday.

Summerville’s PJ Morlando, the #3 prospect in the 2024 class, announced his decision to play for college ball at South Carolina.

At 6’3, 200 lbs, Morlando is primarily used as an outfielder and first baseman and could go in next year’s MLB Draft given his highly-regarded status.

Morlando was originally committed to Mississippi State.
