Meta takes aim at Twitter with new Threads app

Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is teasing a new app to challenge Twitter with a space for real-time conversations online.

It’s called Threads and appears to have many similarities to Twitter.

Threads is expected to go live tomorrow, according to a listing in the app store.
