Abbeville man faces murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon charges

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– An Abbeville 18 year-old man has been charged with murder, armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to arrest warrants, Jaylon Thomas Elmore struck the victim with a machete and stole items from the victim’s residence.

The defendant confessed to the crime and provided the location for the murder weapon, which was recovered, say authorities.

Elmore was booked at the Abbeville County Detention Center.
