U.S. consumer inflation continues to slow down in June

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN)— Inflation in the U.S. cooled in June for the 12th month in a row.

According to the Consumer Price Index, annual inflation slowed to 3% last month.

That’s a sharp drop from last year, when inflation spiked to 9.1% the fastest annual rate since 1981.
