Update: Home barricade situation resolved peacefully

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–What could have been a deadly situation was resolved peacefully Tuesday afternoon.
Richland Co. deputies surrounded a home on the 100 block of Morningside Dr. Tuesday morning after they say a suspect barricaded himself inside.

According to Sheriff Leon Lott…the situation began with a domestic dispute Monday.
Lott says the suspect threatened a woman with a gun.
Ultimately after an hours long stand-off, Sheriff Lott says the situation came to an end.

The sheriff says the suspect was taken to the hospital for evaluation before he is booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
