High school football game cancelled due to surge in COVID

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– COVID is once again impacting the Midlands high school athletic calendar.

According to a spokesperson for Richland School Dist. 2, Friday night’s scheduled football game between Spring Valley and White Knoll has been cancelled.

Officials say the Spring Valley team has seen a surge in COVID and other illnesses.

Thurdsay night’s junior varsity game was also canceled.
