FBI: Offering reward for four inmates who escaped jail, believed to be in SC or neighboring states

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The FBI (Federal Bureau Investigation) is offering a reward totaling up to $25,000 for four Bibb County Jail inmates who they believe could be in South Carolina.

FBI agents believe the inmates who escaped jail on Monday could also possibly be in the neighboring states of North Carolina, Virginia, and/or West Virginia.

The FBI is offering $10,000 for the capture of 37-year-old Johnifer Barnwell, who was convicted on federal drug trafficking charges and faces a significant time in prison when sentenced.

The reward for the other three inmates Joey Fournier, Chavis Stokes, and Marc K. Anderson is $5,000 each.

Joey Fournier, 52, is charged with murder, Chavis Stokes, 29, is facing murder charges and Marc K. Anderson, 25, was in jail for aggravated assault.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a $5,000 reward for each of the men.

Also, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is offering $5,000 for the capture of each of the inmates.

Crime Stoppers is offering a 2,000-dollar reward for the men.

Combined with rewards from the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and U.S. Marshals Service, the total reward amount stands at $73,000 said the FBI.

FBI agents from the Macon Resident Agency say they have been working with law enforcement partners to locate the men.
