Traffic Alert: Power restored following a DUI collision on S. Lake Dr., SC-6

Lexington, SC (WOLO)–Dominion Energy’s outage tracker says power has been restored along Gibson Road at Bickley Road after a DUI collision knocked down a power pole last night.

The Lexington Police Department says the accident involved a person who was operating a car while under the influence when they hit a power pole causing outages, and road blocks.  That driver was arrested and charged with DUI.

Authorities say it closed all of the lanes and knocked the signal lights out at South Lake Drive/SC-6 at Gibson Road.

Again, Dominion Energy has reported that power has been restored and the lanes have been reopened.

This incident is under investigation.
