2 dead after Fairfield County highway collision
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Two people are dead after a collision on a South Carolina highway in Fairfield County, said the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on US-215, one mile east of Jenkinsville around 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct.31.
According to Fairfield County Coroner Chris Hill, 24-year-old Chrishonda Boyd, of Winnsboro, S.C., was driving west on US-215 in Jenkinsville, S.C. when she traveled off the road, overturned and hit a tree.
Jacquivs Robinson, 25, of Winnsboro, S.C., was a passenger in the car.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries, said Coroner Chris Hill.
The collision is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, said Master Trooper Brandon Bolt.
