Columbia mayor unveils city Christmas ornament

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The City of Columbia is gearing up for the holidays as Mayor Daniel Rickenmann unveiled this year’s official city ornament at city hall.

This year the ornament features the River Front Park.

Each year the mayor of Columbia unveils the Babcock Center’s Foundation ornament of opportunity and proclaims it the city’s official ornament.

“It is always a tough choice, think about it. It is 30 years of it, it is a lot of places around the city,” said Thoyd Warren, President of the Babcock Center.
