COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) –In today’s look at local living, the City of Columbia is hosting its 45th annual Veterans Day Parade tomorrow.
It starts at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Sumter and Laurel Streets ending at Pendleton Street near the State House.
This year’s grand marshals will be Vietnam Veterans.
The South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs is hosting its annual food drive for veterans, service members, and their families this month.
It runs through Friday, Nov. 17 at their headquarters at the 1800 Saint Julian Place.
Anyone can drop off non-perishable food items like canned fruits, vegetables, cereal, and peanut butter among others.
Anyone can shop during the 38th annual Vista Lights next week.
More than 60 galleries, shops, and restaurants will showcase their holiday items and dishes.
There will also be a tree lighting at the corner of Gervais and Lincoln Streets.
It will all take place on Thursday, Nov.16 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
