South end of Riverfront Park to close for pedestrian bridge repairs
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department has announced that Riverfront Park at 312 Laurel Street will close to replace decking on the pedestrian bridge.
The north entrance to the park at 4122 River Drive will remain open but passage through the south end of the park will not be available during construction.
Officials expect the work on the bridge to take two weeks once it begins on Monday, Nov. 13.
Guests are encouraged to visit the Saluda Riverwalk, 650 Candi Lane, or Granby Park, 100 Catawba Street during the closure, said city officials.
