2 former daycare workers arrested after being accused of abuse, neglect
NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two teachers accused of child abuse and neglect, say deputies.
According to Newberry deputies, Ericka Sherai’ Jones and Serena Caldwell were terminated from Kids Unlimited of Prosperity for allegations of abuse and neglect.
Ericka Sherai’ is being charged with 14 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and 14 counts of unlawful conduct toward a child.
Serena Caldwell is being charged with 15 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and 15 counts of unlawful conduct toward a child.
Both women were granted a bond by a judge in a morning hearing and have since been released from jail.
