Americans boosted online shopping by 6% in October, spending $77 billion

CNN– As the holiday shopping season kicks off online spending is making year-over-year gains.

According to Adobe Analytics, online shopping has seen a 6% increase over 2022 and nearly a 14% increase from September.

Consumers spent $76.8 billion online shopping in October.

Early holiday discounts and promotions appear to have been the driving factor and the spending increase is not a reflection of inflation.

Online prices have seen a steady decrease.

According to Adobe, it’s real growth and a very positive sign for the economy.
