RCSD: Mother of 3-year-old arrested after family member found child home alone

Zatara Dunham was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child after her 3-year-old child was reported missing.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says a mother was arrested after a child was found alone in an apartment.

Richland County deputies say the mother of 3-year-old Brooklyn Scott, Zatara Dunham was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child.

Deputies responded to the 4600 block of Fort Jackson Boulevard in Columbia.

During the investigation, investigators found that a family member took Brooklyn when they found the apartment door unlocked and no adult was present.

Richland County deputies say Brooklyn Scott has been found safe.

The 3-year-old was placed with her father.
